The Harry Enfield sketch from years ago stuck in my mind where he plays a German tourist who can’t stop apologising for his country’s actions during the second world war. Most sane people realise the stupidity in hanging onto grudges, and worse yet passing them onto following generations as does happen in England. We don’t forget, but we move on.
